Overview

A number of commercial software packages support IFC. Most of the systems provide IFC import and/or export as part of their standard package. Some companies offer an online update of the IFC converters, which can be installed and removed independent from the base software (Plug-in, Add-on). There are also third party products that enable IFC functionality for a base system.

Certification

The IAI offers a facilitated certification program to interested software companies. This enables a basic level quality control and provides a platform to establish implementation agreements for better IFC support. See IFC-Developers for more developer support.

Featured software

Featured software systems that provide certified IFC support

Featured software systems that provide not (yet) certified IFC support

Tip:
There are different versions of IFC (IFC 1.5.1, IFC 2.0, IFC 2x, IFC 2x2, IFC 2x3).
In order to achieve a proper data exchange the sending and receiving system should use the same IFC version.
