IFC Certified Software
Overview
The IAI facilitates a certification process where software companies can establish a group to test the IFC interfaces. This group is facilitated by the IAI, but the responsibility for the quality of interfaces remains with the software company. The certification process is split into two phases, in step 1 the IFC interfaces are tested against an agreed set of unit test cases, whereas in step 2 the IFC interfaces are tested against project files coming from beta customers.
Each IFC certification is based on a view definition. An IFC view represents a subset of the IFC specification that is needed for a particular exchange scenario.
IFC2x3 Stage 1 certification

The following companies have successfully passed the stage 2 certification workshop for the code checking view (an extension of the IFC2x coordination view adding additional requirements for code checking in architecture) on 29 Oct 2004 and 18 Nov 2005.
