Overview
The IAI facilitates a certification process where software companies can establish a group to test the IFC interfaces. This group is facilitated by the IAI, but the responsibility for the quality of interfaces reamins with the software company. The certification process is split into two phases, in stage 1 the IFC interfaces are tested against an agreed set of unit test cases, whereas in stage 2 the IFC interfaces are tested against project files coming from beta customers.
