In different systems of CAD and other software for planning, construction and managing of buildings and structural works there is already an IFC support. In any systems the IFC support is directly installed in delivered software. In other systems the IFC support can be downloaded from internet. The next list shows all topics of IFC support for commercial software you can choose:
- IFC for ADT (Autodesk Architectural Desktop)
- IFC for ALLPLAN
- IFC for ArchiCAD
- IFC for BOCAD
- IFC for CADdict
- IFC for DDS (DATA DESIGN SYSTEM)
- IFC for Solibri
Tip: Attention, please for data exchange with IFC: There are different IFC versions. Older IFC versions like IFC1.5.1, IFC2.0 and IFC2x are not compatible among themselves. That means the version of export must be the equal version of import. Younger versions like IFC2x und IFC2x2 (IFC2x3 too, presently in beta status) are extensively upward-compatible. That means a IFC2x file should be importable in a software for IFC2x2 (the other way round it's only restricted possible). So you can identify the IFC version in one IFC file.
