The Institute for Applied Computer Science (IAI) of the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (Research Center Karlsruhe) has set up an open WFS server. The WFS server allows user the following WFS:

  • DescribeFeatureType
  • GetCapabilities
  • GetFeature
  • Transaction


The WFS server can be found under the following address:

  • http://141.52.248.80:8080/deegree2/ogcwebservice
  • or using the shortcut http://www.iai.fzk.de/wfs


The WFS server currently supports the following Features:

  • Building
    • Address
    • CeilingSurface, InteriorWallSurface, FloorSurface, RoofSurface, WallSurface, GroundSurface, ClosureSurface
    • BuildingInstallation
    • Door / Window
    • Room
      • BuildingInstallation
      • BuildingFurniture
      • CeilingSurface, InteriorWallSurface, FloorSurface, RoofSurface, WallSurface, GroundSurface, ClosureSurface


The WFS server supports the following Level of Details (LoDs):

  • LoD 1, LoD 2, LoD 3, LoD 4
